1758 "Universal" 12w Slimline Combo Amplifier with Tremolo

Made in Melbourne, Australia. First appears in the 1965 Rose Morris Catalogue.

Unusually, these amps don't have the word "Goldentone" marked on them anywhere! However, they do feature the golden Rose Morris conductor badge on the front grille. The 2 x 6GW8 valves are different to the modern standards we now know. They are in fact, a triode and pentode in one. The triode being preamp (and/or tremolo) and the pentode being the power amp stage.
